Charlie wants the history: when the pressure started dropping, whether the meter moves with the taps off, where the damp appears. It tells him what to load and what to test first.
Leak detection in Whittlesey
Whittlesey made bricks for a good part of the country, and its own houses hide their pipework just as well. Charlie finds the leak with cameras, microphones and gas, then marks the exact spot.

Whittlesey is a brick town. The houses round the Market Place and along the old streets are Georgian and Victorian, built on soft fen ground with shallow footings, and their pipework has been added to over and over. The estates that grew round them from the 1960s onward have heating in solid floors.
If you are looking for leaking boiler repair in Whittlesey, the first thing to establish is whether the boiler is leaking at all. A boiler that needs topping up is usually fine. The water is leaving somewhere on the heating circuit, often under a floor, and a new part on the boiler will not stop it.

Charlie wants the history: when the pressure started dropping, whether the meter moves with the taps off, where the damp appears. It tells him what to load and what to test first.
2
A meter test and a pressure test between them show which pipework is losing water. That rules out the other system entirely, so nothing is opened up on a guess.

The camera shows where the pipes run, the microphones or the tracer gas show where the water is leaving. Charlie marks the point, photographs it and explains what the repair needs.
The camera reads the temperature of the floor or wall surface. A hot water leak in a screed floor shows as a spreading bloom, a cold water leak behind brick as a dark patch.
A leak under pressure makes noise, and that noise travels along the pipe and through the ground. Ground microphones and a listening stick find where it is loudest, directly over the break.
For slow heating leaks under solid floors, the circuit is drained and charged with a hydrogen and nitrogen mix. The detector reads where the gas surfaces.
The PE7 postcode, which covers Whittlesey, has had four jobs on the books, the latest in June 2026. We have found leaks in Elm and Christchurch on the March side and in Hampton Vale and Hargate and Hempsted on the Peterborough side. Across the river in PE2 we have worked in Fletton and Stanground.
Peterborough is 15 minutes west and Yaxley just beyond Stanground. March is the next town east along the A605, with Chatteris south of it and Ramsey across the fen. Coates, Eastrea, Pondersbridge and Turves are covered as part of a Whittlesey booking.
Trace and access cover pays to find a hidden leak and to repair the damage done reaching it, if your policy includes it. Charlie's report is written to support that claim: test readings, thermal images, the method used and the exact position marked on a photograph. It goes to you the same day.
