Hethersett has two halves. The old village along Old Norwich Road and Lynch Green has houses replumbed more than once. The new estates north of the village have underfloor heating, plastic pipe in screed and manifolds in cupboards. The leak detection Hethersett needs depends on which half you live in.

Meter reading with the house shut, then a pressure test on the heating. On underfloor heating each loop can be isolated at the manifold, which narrows the leak to one circuit before any scanning.

Thermal imaging, then tracer gas or acoustic listening, bring the search down to a spot Charlie can mark with tape. Photographs and the written report follow by email.
On a new build the camera shows the underfloor loops as a clear pattern through the floor finish. Where a loop fades or a wet blur spreads, the leak is close. In older houses it maps hidden radiator pipes.
A leaking supply pipe under a Hethersett drive or lane makes a steady noise. Charlie follows the pipe with a ground microphone and the reading rises until he is standing over the break.
With the suspect loop isolated and drained, a safe hydrogen mix goes in. It escapes at the fault, rises through the screed and the detector finds it. The rest of the floor is untouched.
The closest jobs on our list are in Cringleford, a mile up the road, and in Eaton on the edge of Norwich. We have found leaks in Central Wymondham and Hingham & Deopham to the west, in Bunwell to the south, and in Hellesdon North West and Hellesdon South East on the same A11 run.
